I, the mun, will be out of town and hopefully having way too fantastic a time to be getting online much. Starting pretty much immediately, I'm off on vacation, returning on or about Tuesday, September 16. We're heading to Walt Disney World and yes, we are bringing umbrellas.
The muse should be up to date as far as prompts go, and ideas/plots have been settled for when I get back.

((OOC)) Hiatus

Just a note to let people know that due to a temporary increase in work duties (read: the other technician is gone for a couple of weeks on vacation/training), my effective online time will be greatly reduced, so my active muses are going on hiatus for at least that period of time. Jun. 20th, 2008 11:18 amHeya. Well, how about that "finale", huh? In thinking about the events of them (as some of you know), I came to the conclusion that I was not interested in spending the next six months or more (NEXT YEAR, PEOPLE) between now and the "second half" of season 4 with my boy Lee in a state of perpetual WTF.
With that in mind, and following in the footsteps of my partner in crime, he'll be freezing right in the middle of "Revelations", episode 4x10. That means:
1) Although Roslin and Adama have returned, Lee is still acting President
2) The treaty/partnership with the Cylons has been established, but they have yet to Jump to Earth
Etc, etc.
This freeze only affects RP and conversations. It does not include challenge community prompt responses, which will include any and all canon material up through and including the very end of "Revelations". bsg_tng, since it has fixed storylines not affected by the events of the last four episodes.
I know there are a few of my fellow BSG writers who might also pause their pups, but obviously, I'm not "requiring" anybody to follow suit, just letting anyone who talks to Lee know, and politely requesting that if possible, in responses, that those events not be mentioned. The poor man is usually confused enough. *LOL*

With the holiday world slowly returning to whatever semblance of normal it was before, so too is RPing and writing. As I get back into the rhythm of things, just a note about my character(s).
This time around, thetammy_awards for whatever reason are no longer extending the offer to "opt out" of participation. As that would have been my choice, I'm instead asking anyone who might have been considering nominating this or any of my other pups for an award to instead select another nominee to submit. There are a lot of outstanding muses and writers out there, so by all means recognize them.

OOC: Hitting "Pause" on the Character DVR
Apr. 3rd, 2007 11:36 pmHeya. Well, those last four episodes were really some beautiful, amazing, mind-frakking stuff, huh? In thinking about the events of them (as some of you know), I came to the conclusion that I was not interested in spending the next nine months (NINE MONTHS, PEOPLE) between now and the premiere of season 4 with my boy Lee in a state of perpetual lonely angst. Not that he doesn't angst beautifully, it's just kind of taxing after a while.
With that in mind, I'm rolling back his history clock just a tad, and freezing him after the events of "Dirty Hands", episode 3x16. That means:
1) Kara is still alive (as far as Lee knows)
2) Lee and Dee are still happily married (as much as they ever will be)
3) Lee is still on very good terms with his father
Etc, etc.
This freeze only affects RP and conversations. It does not include challenge community prompt responses, which will include any and all canon material up through and including "Crossroads, Part II". It also does not include the storylines ofbattlestar_tm and bsg_tng, since those have fixed storylines not affected by the events of the last four episodes.

And it looks like the season finale is going to put them all to shame in the "things happening" department. After which, as we all know (and are in various states of denial regarding), we have to wait until January '08 to find out what the frak will happen.
I don't know about most of you, but I don't think I can put my "regular" version of lil' Lee Adama in story hold for quite that long. Oh, there'sbattlestar_tm and the cracktastic fun of bsg_tng, but we love our canon versions first, don't we?
So, here's what I think I'm going to do, and I wanted to see if other folks were interested in joining along, just to keep all of our sanities intact for nine months.
I'm thinking of rolling the clock back just a bit to the end of episode 16, "Dirty Hands", and letting Lee follow a kind of tangent canon until January. Stuff will just kind of happen between now and next year, and once the new season starts, I'll pull a Doc Brown and go back to the tangent point and pick up regular continuity again. That way, there's nothing to contradict the upcoming DVD movie and new season before they hit the airwaves.
Naturally, this would only affect "canon" RP. Prompt responses can mine the whole history, so that's not a problem, and withbattlestar_tm set in the "Lost Year" and bsg_tng its own crack reality, those wouldn't be affected, either.
So, anyone else want to take a quick sidestep, enjoy the no-doubt mind-frakking season finale, and then just not have to deal with the hiatus' RP problems?
