Well, there's certainly a lot that's been happening on our little show in the last few episodes, hmm? And it looks like the season finale is going to put them all to shame in the "things happening" department. After which, as we all know (and are in various states of denial regarding), we have to wait until January '08 to find out what the frak will happen.

I don't know about most of you, but I don't think I can put my "regular" version of lil' Lee Adama in story hold for quite that long. Oh, there's battlestar_tm and the cracktastic fun of bsg_tng, but we love our canon versions first, don't we?

So, here's what I think I'm going to do, and I wanted to see if other folks were interested in joining along, just to keep all of our sanities intact for nine months.

I'm thinking of rolling the clock back just a bit to the end of episode 16, "Dirty Hands", and letting Lee follow a kind of tangent canon until January. Stuff will just kind of happen between now and next year, and once the new season starts, I'll pull a Doc Brown and go back to the tangent point and pick up regular continuity again. That way, there's nothing to contradict the upcoming DVD movie and new season before they hit the airwaves.

Naturally, this would only affect "canon" RP. Prompt responses can mine the whole history, so that's not a problem, and with battlestar_tm set in the "Lost Year" and bsg_tng its own crack reality, those wouldn't be affected, either.

So, anyone else want to take a quick sidestep, enjoy the no-doubt mind-frakking season finale, and then just not have to deal with the hiatus' RP problems?

Depending on what happens to Hera and Sharon? Frak yeah, this sounds good. I mean, I'll do prompt responses as normal canon, using Boomer, Downloaded!Boomer, and Athena... but if it becomes something where I'm going to be depressed for 9 months? No. *L* Besides, I do like talking with Bill, Kara, Dee, Lee, Helo, and Leoben.

I think if we tried to deal with it for the next nine months, everybody'd just be a great big ball of sad. So yeah, I think we'll do this.

Yesplz. As you saw, RDM is on notice and while I think Lee = EXCELLENT lawyer? There are certain parts (think: no more friends for him!) that I think would be wearing after oh, nine months.
