197 - Is there anyone in your life who you feel is exceptionally wise? Who, and how did you meet this person?
It's a good question. Do I pick Dr. Baltar, who is far and away the most intelligent and mentally gifted individual in the entire fleet? Or do I look towards someone like Karl Agathon, who despite troubles no one wish on themselves, still manages to make solid decisions as an officer? I could just as easily look toward Doc Cottle, whose advice and warnings are always a good idea to heed, or to, naturally, my father the Admiral, whose strategic and tactical mind have saved our lives more times than I can count.
When I think of "wisdom", though, I think of someone with not only a great deal of smarts, but who's shown they can temper intelligence with compassion and patience, all in the service of humanity and their vision for it: President Laura Roslin.
