"Hmph," was all Lee's reply to the mention of the bottle, other than letting it thump on the table heavily before he set the box down beside it. It was hard to look at her, and Lee found himself doing his best to keep from doing it. Not that Sharon was particularly special in that regard, as he hadn't wanted to see or look at anyone since he'd left Galactica a few hours ago. Of course, there were other things running underneath his surface antisocial tendencies.
Still, he dropped into a chair to listen to Sharon, even though she'd pretty much invited herself in and sat down without asking. Lee would have a pretty good understanding of why later on, but at that moment, he just couldn't care. He looked up in surprise when Sharon made her suggestion. It spun his head around for a few moments.
Finally, he smiled. "Right. That's what I need right now. A reminder of what a frakking terrible husband I was to her."
Lee stood up and dragged in the last boxes, not bothering to even pick them up off the deck. Then he shut and locked the hatch. "I failed her. As a husband, as a President... I failed her." He picked up the bottle and knocked back a swallow, wiping his lips with the back of his fist. "I failed everyone."
